Coimbra Shaded Cloister

Coimbra's Cathedral, Sé Velha de Coimbra, was constructed in the 12th century in the Romanesque style architecture. The cloisters were added during the reign of Alfonso II, thirteenth century and represent an architectural style of the transition between Romanesque and Gothic eras.
