Dom Luis I Bridge View

The Dom Luis I Bridge spans the River Douro at Oporto joining the city on one bank with Vila Nova De Gaia on the other. It is a metal bridge which houses both road and rail, and at it's time of inauguration, in October 1886, was the longest span of it's type in the world, at 172 metres.
